Dear Parents/ Carers,
So yesterday evening, we were all given a lot of information about the easing of the current lockdown. I am so delighted that it was confirmed that from Monday March 8th, schools will be open to all pupils. This means that we can welcome you all back in a couple of weeks. The arrangements for pick up and drop off will still be as they were before Christmas so just a polite reminder to remember the social distancing rules whilst waiting outside school and in order to be respectful to our neighbours, please consider parking away from school so that we are not causing a congestion at drop off and pick up times.
The purpose of this lockdown and partial shutting of schools was to stop the transmission of Covid 19. We have all played our part in doing this, whether it was critical workers who were at the forefront of essential services being able to continue, school staff who enabled school to be open for the children of critical workers whilst delivering a remote education or those who had to support their children at home with remote learning (often whilst working from home themselves). It has been extremely hard for everyone but let's hope that our communal efforts during this lockdown will mean that this will be the last one that affects schools.
We cannot wait to see you all on the 8th, we will be planning some sort of (Covid safe!) celebration to welcome you all back.
