Week 4

We will check phonics folders in book bags on Thursday. Those that have done the homework tasks will have their name placed in Friday's homework challenge draw. The winner will bring home a bag of family goodies on the following Friday!

and ff phonics practise sheets 

In your smartest handwriting please, letters resting on the line and using a pencil. Be sure to read all of the words by sounding out and blending.

Read your home reading book 

Each time your child reads please write the name of the book, date and make a short note in the yellow reading record. 

Reading the books more than once is really valuable. It increases confidence and develops comprehension skills.

Practise reading the L1+ Helpful words

Remember they aren't decodable so practise reading them as a whole sight word, do this frequently to help to commit them to memory.
