Mrs Hart’s Rocket Experiment
Our Plane Experiment
The experiments included slime making, bridge building, paper plane making and chemical reactions. The children enjoyed working in teams.
We were also lucky to watch a specially made video from Zayn’s mum taking about life as a scientist in a hospital. Thank you!
PE was great this week we had a basketball day with Mr Shingler and we had several mini pe slots. Thursday and Friday mornings are now started with Mr Shingler’s wake and shake for children and staff! Don’t be late or you will miss it!
Wake and shake
In Reading, maths and writing we have been completing work to see where the children are up to.
In English we completed a fun comprehension and in writing we wrote about science day.
We have been looking at settings and using adjectives to describe and similes to compare.
In maths we looked at adding on 10 and subtracting 10 and then adding 10’s and subtracting 10’s numbers. The children extended this concept to add tens numbers eg 20,30,40 etc to three and four digit numbers. The children are trying to improve their mental calculation. Please practice this at home.
The picnic treats were great! The dancing and party food made Thursday night more more interesting than a normal day!
Well done 2F you have been amazing. It’s been hard for us all adapting but we are having fun together!
