Welcome back to Victoria Park Infant School

Week beginning 6th July 2020

You have been learning about our planet Earth, its continents and countries. We would now like you to think about how important it is for us to take care of our world. The videos below show what can be done to look after our environment.

Save Our World

Science Video for Kids: How to Care for the Environment

Do you know the difference between a biodegradable and a non-biodegradable waste?

You could make a poster to tell people about things they can do to help the planet. Maybe you could write some sentences and draw some pictures about what you have learnt.

This is a lovely animation that shows how important it is for us not to pollute our seas and oceans.

A Whale's Tale | Hope Works

A whale helps smaller sea creatures who are trapped in plastic waste. On land a young boy seeks support to clear the sea in his area.

Now we know how important it is for us to recycle, you can test your knowledge on sorting materials for recycling.

You may prefer this interactive way of sorting materials.

This power point shows how paper is recycled.

You can fly back home to Stretford now!

  • Can you design and make your own paper aeroplane to come home from your journey on? You can do any design you like!
  • If you can take a photo or video of your paper aeroplane flying and send it to us we would love to see it!
  • You could even use different materials? Is there anything in your recycling that you could use? Have fun!
