Welcome back to Victoria Park Infant School

Week 6 Week Beginning 6th December

Hello Reception 2 Families!

It has been a busy and exciting week at R2 HQ! This week has found us making our lovely calendars, beginning to make our Christmas cards, practising and performing our Christmas songs for our performance to you and visiting Victoria Park's community classroom for a morning of Christmas crafts! I am sure that the children slept well last night!

As we headed to the park first thing on Friday morning, we didn't attend our usual outdoor Friday assembly but medal winners and a winner for the homework challenge draw will be revealed on morning.

Next week promises to be equally as exciting as this week! On Wednesday afternoon the PTFA have treated us to a Christmas panto right here in our school, how awesome is that!? Thursday is Christmas party day for all classes within our classrooms. The children can wear their party clothes on Thursday but please consider the weather and chose clothes and shoes that are warm, comfy and safe to wear outdoors. On Friday the children can bring in a toy from home but please try not to bring in anything electric, sentimental or of value. Please bring the toy in a plastic bag with your child's name on. We will continue our glitter and glue fest this week also, as we continue to make some lovely Christmassy trinkets to bring home for you at the end of the week.

A HUGE THANKYOU for your kind donations to Manchester Children's Hospital on Friday's Christmas Jumper Day. Also for the donations that you have made towards our R2 Christmas party this Thursday. You have made it possible for me to buy some yummy party food treats and more!

A HUGE THANKYOU also for coming to see the children perform their Christmas songs. It was so lovely to see you all and I know that the children felt very special. They did a super job at remembering actions and belting out their songs!

Have a lovely weekend and Miss Hodgson and I look forward to seeing you on Monday for our last week of term!

Enjoy the photos!
