Welcome back to Victoria Park Infant School

Week 5

Well, can you believe we are nearly at the end of summer 1. The time is flying by.

We have had a super week in reception 1 this week.

The children have written some super sentences describing the character of Willow the witch from the Hansel and Gretel story by Bethan Woollvin. They have also produced some fantastic drawings of Willow.

In phonics this week we have learnt ar as in arm and or as in fork. We have some great blenders in our class.

In maths we have been continuing to look at numerical patterns - odd/even, doubles and sharing objects equally.

Well done to Luke who is our medal winner this week. Keep up the good work!

The children have enjoyed lots of outdoor play this week in the sun and have been busy creating artwork and models. They have made some fantastic gingerbread houses with playdough and collage materials.

I am pleased to tell you that we have a little froglet. Watch out for it in the photos below!

Next week we will be exploring our last Bethan Woollvin story - Rapunzel. If you have a copy of the story at home, please could your child bring it to school. We would like to compare different versions of the story.
