British Science Week - 9th to 13th March 2026

Spring 2

6.3.26

The week has flown by in 2L this week! For world book day this week we discussed and wrote about our favourite books and characters, used books to solve maths problems and designed and made our own mini books. In our other literacy work this week we continued to look at Meerkats, completing comprehensions and creating factfiles. In Maths we continued with our units of measure topic.

Next week is British Science week and we will be enjoying activities and hopefully some parent guest speakers! There is an event on at the Trafford Centre as part of Science week and I have posted the link below should you wish to go this weekend or during next week.

Have a great weekend,

Thanks,

27.2.26

Hello and welcome back! I hope you all had a nice half term break. We have made a great start to the half term looking at our new topic 'Warm Climates'. We looked at maps and discussed the equator, deserts and rainforests - using the school tablets to research rainforest animals. In Literacy we started reading the story 'Meerkat Mail' about a meerkat who visits family. In Maths we looked at mass and weight and learned about grams and kilograms. We continued our dance and gymnastics lessons in PE with great enthusiasm!

I have given out paper copies of homework this week and would like these to be handed back in by Wednesday morning please. I have also given out new spellings this week which are other, mother, brother, nothing, Monday, money, cover, honey, discover, wonder for our test on Friday.

I hope you have a lovely weekend

Thanks

Mr Logan
