Week 5
Hello R2 Families
The sun has been kind this week, so we've had some lovely sunny outdoor time.
In maths we have been exploring measurement. We've talked about size, weight and capacity.
As part of our topic, we have been talking about how we, as humans, change a we grow up. We are working in small group to explore our baby, toddler and present day photos. This has been delightful!
We are swiftly moving through our phonics scheme and have been learning the 'i' and 'n' phonemes. A HUGE thank you for your wonderful engagement with home reading so far, it really makes a difference.
A big highlight this week has been Drawing Club! We shared the book 'The Hairy Toe' and the excitement as we read it was fab! After sharing the book as a class, we all drew pictures of how we imagined the monster to look. The children share describing words for their monsters and their ideas, enthusiasm and their vocabulary was brilliant!
What a great week 5 we have had!
