Welcome back to the summer term. Time flies when you are having fun and we have already started our new topic of Castles. Early this half term we will be administrating the optional sats key stage one papers and gathering evidence for the end of year assessments before the whit holidays.
Reading may become less frequent over this period but please continue to read at home and we will change the books each day.
For those who are unfamiliar with the form at of assessments in key stage one the children will be assessed as to whether they meet exceed or are working towards the Year 2 National standards.
I have recently popped in targets in the children’s reading record books together with their current reading ages.
This half term our PE days will be Monday with Mr Shingler, apparatus with me and football skills for half an hour on Thursdays.
Parents evening is next week so I look forward to sharing the work we have completed and I’m sure you will be impressed.
Here are some of the latest photographs from PE and other areas of the curriculum.
