Another busy week has been had by the children in R1 this week.
This week we have started our Floppy's Phonics scheme introducing 's' and 'a'. To consolidate this learning, on a Friday we will send home their phonics homework in your child's reading folder.
Please can homework, books and yellow reading record books all be kept inside the provided reading folder in your child's green book bag each day.
Miss Edwards and I have really seen how well the children have settled and become confident within the routine of the day and also with making friendships with children who were new to them.
I am looking forward to seeing you at the Meet the Teacher meeting on Thursday 24th September at 3:30 in the classroom. This will give me the opportunity to talk about the reading routines, phonics scheme, early maths and class routines. Thank you those who have emailed me about your attendance. If you have not done so, please could you email me and let me know if you will be attending.
