Hello R1 Families
Welcome back everybody! It was lovely to see you all back in the playground on Monday morning. Well, what a busy week we have had! Miss Edwards and I are extremely proud of our children. They were polite, engaging and showed our visitors what they enjoy about VPIS.
The children have enjoyed finding out about why we have Bonfire Night, found out about the firework code, designed a firework safety poster and created some wonderful bonfire collages.
We have learnt about the festival of Diwali, which is celebrated by families in our school and in the wider community. We loved finding out about the traditions and customs surrounding Diwali.
In maths we have explored circle and triangles and their features. We found out about a famous artist called Kandinsky, who lived 200 years ago and who loved to paint and draw with shapes and lines. The children created their own Kandinsky inspired art work using circles, triangles and lines.
I'm looking forward to seeing you at Parent's Evening this week.
Thank you to all of those of you who have booked their time slot.
If you haven't done so yet, please make sure you do, via our school website.
Please ask if you need any guidance with this.
Parent's Evening Times:

Myself and Miss Edwards would like to thank you all for your continued support.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend
