There are other websites to enjoy Oxford Owl is another site where you will find many e-books. These books connect directly with the books used in school. If you look at your child's recent book it will tell you the level/stage they are on and then you can access the relevant level on here(if it doesn't please contact). The other websites are really good too, for a bit of variety!

Hello 2F. I know that when we are in school we read independently for 10 minutes per day in quiet time and the teachers hear you read out loud sometimes too. I know many of you have a couple of reading books at home which I'm sure you are continuing to read and enjoy. If you are coming towards the end of these please enjoy reading books that you have in your home and I know many of you are starting to enjoy reading comics and non fiction books of your own choice too.

In one of our weekly English lessons we are completing a comprehension about the topic of the week. This is great reading practice and also tests your understanding of what you are reading. Make sure you choose a suitable one for you and if you need any help with the levels let me know.

We are going to be adding a log in very soon for a brand new website which allows you to choose a book and read online. You might prefer to read this way but we also know that many of you are reading books of your own choice from home. Miss Myles has started reading George's Marvellous Medicine and I know quite a few of you are starting to enjoy these types of books which take quite a long time to read.

As soon as the log ins are available, I will email you all so you can use this resource if you wish.
