Welcome back to Victoria Park Infant School

We've done it

What a tremendous return to school we have had……

Scooting, picnics, dancing, silly hair and Science Day, to name but a few - I think we would all agree, that returning to school has been great for everyone but it’s not finished yet!  We still have an Easter Egg hunt, smashing piñatas, the Easter Raffle and a movie afternoon with hot chocolate, to finish the term off.  Please make sure that you check your child’s class page on the website for photographs and updates of their weeks in school.  However, let’s not forget, that, alongside all of this and so much more, the children have been working hard in their classrooms and at home – the children have really established work hard/play hard attitudes and we thank you at home for your support in this.

We would also like to thank our school’s PFTA who have continued to work tirelessly behind the scenes to raise funds for the children here and now whilst also looking forward to the next few months, when we hope to raise enough funds to fix the climbing frame and get it back in use again.  Specifically, this half term, the PFTA have sourced donations and bought Easter Eggs that are the talk of the school.

These are just the raffle eggs, there are so many more surprise eggs, being handed out to everyone in school

The raffle eggs are on display near the dining hall so all of the children see them as they are going into lunch – I cannot tell you how excited they are for the Easter Egg hunt and the Easter Raffle!

Furthermore, the PFTA have provided the funds for us to make the piñata ‘wish’ come true, which I know all of the children will thoroughly enjoy.

To you, the grown up’s at home, thank you for supporting all of our events by sending your children into school with the right clothes, costumes, hairstyles and enthusiasm to make this a great half term.  We will see some of you for Wake Up Shake Up again at the gates on Thursday and Friday but want to wish everybody at lovely half term break.
