Welcome back to Victoria Park Infant School

W/b 18th October

Well done to all children and grown ups for making it to the end of the first half term in reception. Your children are becoming much more independent and settled in to our daily routine.

We have had a super busy half time and the children are focussing on the activities set and also having lots of fun playing! The children are picking up the sounds we are learning in phonics and I would like to ask if you could continue to practise their sounds and reading over the holidays. This would help to consolidate their sound knowledge.

The children have enjoyed collaging pictures of hedgehogs and squirrels and we have been finding out about the celebration of Harvest that happens around this time of year. We have learnt a harvest song song called The Farmer Plants The Seeds.

I hope you enjoy listening to the children singing.

To finish off the half term, the children came to school in fancy dress for 'Dare to be Different' day. There were some fantastic costumes!

I would just like to say a big thank you to the grown ups on behalf of Miss Edwards and myself for all your patience and support throughout this long, tricky half term. It is very much appreciated!

Have a quick look at the photos attached.

We hope you have a great half term break and look forward to seeing you all on Monday 1st November.

Take care
