Hi everyone , I can’t believe it’s Friday already .You have had a busy week but the weekend is nearly here ! I hope you will enjoy and try your best with today’s activities.

Today, I would like you to have a go at writing your own nonsense poem. You can do this by changing some of the words in the poem ‘On the Ning Nang Nong ‘ that we looked at yesterday.
You can use the list of rhyming words that you made and you can change cows, monkeys and trees for any other animals or things. You can use the printout below or just write out the new poem yourself .Please send me your new nonsense poems , I would love to read them !
Here is today’s phonics lesson
Maths
Feedback from yesterday was that lots of you found the work on half and quarter turns quite challenging. The best way is to do it practically with an object and talk through the moves.Don’t worry if you haven’t fully understood it yet , as we will do more on this topic later in the year. It was tricky ,so well done for persevering,!
Today’s PowerPoint might help understanding. It links to the work from yesterday about turns , clockwise and anti clockwise. It leads onto recognising the direction of the turns you make on a map, by introducing the words North, South, East and West. Then there is some map work to complete. Have a go !
To keep practising your number bonds to 10 I have found a fun game for you to try . Can you rescue the whale?
Topic
Yesterday we looked at hot air balloons as a way of travelling in the air. Today we are going to look again at aeroplanes and learn a bit more about different types of planes. I have found a book to share with you.
Here is a fun way to finish the week. Follow the instructions and see if you can make your own paper aeroplane.
Does yours fly well ?
Finally, let’s finish the week on a high and use up our last bit of energy by joining in a Shrek dance class . Have a great weekend and I look forward to seeing you next week on our class zoom meeting.
