Hello Reception 2 Families!
Thanks everyone for such a lovely first week back! Miss Hodgson and I are so proud of how the children have returned to school. Thy have been brimming with enthusiasm to learn and our new topic 'Wheels, wings and Other Things' has gone down a storm with everyone! In our new topic we will explore different types of transport and the journeys that people make, both near and far. Next week we will think about wheeled transport, how we travel to school, make a junk model car and compare cars and bikes from long ago to modern day cars and bikes.
The sun has been shining this week and we've enjoyed being able to have our morning snack outside in the sunshine! We have enjoyed outdoor assembly and 'wake up shake up' under a beautiful blue sky, making everyone feel good!
Larry is our medal winner this week and he was delighted to receive it! Good job Larry! We are getting back on track with one to one reading at school. The children have amazed me with their reading progress! Thank you for supporting your child at home with learning to read. Their home reading is a vital part of their reading success.
Everyone should have received an electronic letter about parent's evening. Thank you to those of you who have emailed your choices already. Please respond to me with your preferred time slot by 22nd April. The time slots will be given on a first come first served basis. There is a link to the parent's evening letter at the bottom of this page.
We would like to wish those observing Ramadan a blessed and peaceful month. Have a lovely weekend everyone! Miss H and I can't wait to see you all on Monday! Here are some lovely photos to give you a special insight into the lovely week we have had together.
