The children have had a busy week at school this week!
On Tuesday, we had a nice surprise and were part of the Trafford school’s musical extravaganza. We zoomed in with other schools from Trafford and listened to live music and performances from a range of musicians. We enjoyed dancing and singing along. What a lovely way to spend an afternoon! 😊
On Thursday, Mrs Ayin came from the Trafford Sports Partnership with a replica of the Olympic torch. We found out about the games and what happens at the opening ceremony. The children all made their own torches and had a turn at holding the replica torch, before passing it on. The teachers even took part in a little torch relay!
Between all the exciting events we even managed to fit in some more of our maths learning carrying on with our division work finding halves and quarters (dividing into 4 equal groups). There are a couple of activities below if your child would like extra practise.
There are only 2 weeks to go until the children finish Year 1 and we have lots of exciting activities planned in school, including meeting their new Year 2 teacher or teachers.
Have a lovely weekend everyone
