Wow! What a super busy, first week back at school. The children have been absolutely amazing this week, you should be very proud of them.
They have settled right back into the routines of school without a fuss. The children have had a great week seeing their friends and playing together.
This week we have continued with our topic and discussed what happens in spring and what signs of spring they have seen out and about, in their garden or at the park. We have made some great rainbows that we are displaying on the classroom windows, we have looked closely at the different parts of a daffodil and have even had a go at being an artist! The children have drawn some brilliant pictures of daffodils. On Thursday, the children have planted a bean and we are going to observe what happens to the bean over the next few weeks. Maybe your child could tell you what they think will happen.
On top of all that, the children have practised their sounds, reading, writing their names and counting and numbers. They have enjoyed the activities and have really worked hard.
Friday was a great day! We had our zoom assembly where Zackariah was given our class medal for learning lots of new sounds during lockdown and we sang happy birthday to Bella. We finished the day by singing and dancing in the playground with Mrs Walkden. The children had a fab time!
I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures in the slideshow.
