Week 4

Hello Everyone smiley

I hope that you have all had a lovely week, we certainly have! The children have been soaking up lots of new and interesting knowledge about plants. We now know that different parts of a plant are eaten and the children were blown away by the fact that broccoli is a flower! Maths is bringing some extra challenge for the children as we work with bigger numbers. We have been using number lines, being sure to count along accurately, moving forwards for addition and backwards for subtraction. Please gently remind your children if you see that they mix up the digits when recording teen numbers.

Mustafa was our medal winner this week, he's a hard working, creative little boy and he is growing in confidence every day!

Next week we will be learning about Queen Elizabeth, London landmarks and we will celebrate the Queen's Jubilee in class and as a whole school. We'll be having a 'street party' in the play ground on Tuesday, treats are provided by school. Your child can come to school dressed in the colours red, white and blue for the event. It's sure to be a lovely occasion and lovely last week of the summer 1 term. We will share two lovely books next week for our Jubilee topic...

I'm sure that you were delighted to hear that the children are to be going on a school trip, to Blackpool Zoo! Some lovely, lasting memories will be made and we cannot wait! Please check your emails for the details and spread the word with parents to help remind everyone that lots of important info and updates will be being emailed in the coming weeks.

As always, please enjoy the lovely photos of your little people and have yourselves a super weekend!
