Week beginning 20th April 2020

This week we would like you to read the story ‘Whatever Next’ by Jill Murphy. 

We thought you might like to use the story to help plan your own picnic on the moon. You will need to write a list of things you will need to take and make the food for your picnic, as well as build your own rocket or spacecraft ready to go on your adventure and off you go!... when you return you might want to write a story about what your saw or who you met on your adventure. smiley

How to build a simple blanket fort

This shows you very quickly how to make an indoor fort/ den using chairs and blankets, which can easily be changed to a spacecraft!

‘Whatever Next’ is full of lots of onomatopoeic words. Can you spot them when listening to the story? Can you make up some of your own?
