Hello Reception Families!
Some of you are back to school as key worker children, some of you have returned as part of a bubble for a couple of days each week and some of you are still at home with your families. Wherever you are, I hope that you are all feeling well and happy!
It's difficult to comprehend that our wonderful Reception classes are in their final couple of weeks of their Reception year. This has been an unforgettable year in everyone's lives This week and next week, for the last two weeks of term, our topic is going to be exploring transition to Year One and all the feelings that are tied up in this important time. If we were in school, we would be busy helping to prepare the children for their journey to Year One. Unfortunately, as many of the children aren't in school, this vital work will take place here. Through stories and some lovely activities, we can explore feelings of excitement, nervousness, happiness at the new adventures that lie ahead and sadness at what we are leaving behind-all of which are completely natural for your children (and you!). So let's begin to build a bridge to...
And think and talk about Transition from Reception to Year One (eep!)
Welcome to Reception!
