Friday 19th March
What a crazy, busy and fun week we have had in school!
Where do I start?
Well, we started the week by continuing with our spring topic. We had a good look at snails and watched some great videos showing us how snails move and eat. The children created some super playdough snails.
Tuesday was Science Day and it was fantastic. The children enjoyed finding out about the role of a scientist and even got to watch a video of one of our school mums who is a microbiologist. She told us all about her job and gave us a tour of where she works. The children were fascinated by how germs are investigated. We continued to have a fun packed day doing a Skittles experiment, watching them create a rainbow, worked in teams to construct a bridge, made and tested paper aeroplanes and watched Mrs Hart launch a rocket canister. Miss Edwards and I heard many children saying "This is the best day ever!"
Wednesday we continued to practise our balancing in gym with Mrs Murphy.
Thursday was picnic day!!! We had snacks and ice lollies outside in the playground with the whole school followed by some music and dancing with Mrs Walkden. You should have seen the children's groovy moves.
Friday is Red Nose Day! All the children did us proud by coming into school wearing something red - even red hair! We had a fab zoom meeting with our junior school where each class got to share a joke with the other classes. There were lots of giggles and laughter.
As well as all that fun, the children have been amazing this week with all their learning activities. They have blown both Miss Edwards and I away with their positive attitude towards coming back into school. It is great to see a busy classroom full of children again.
We hope you enjoy watching our slideshow and hope you all have a fantastic weekend.
