Welcome back to Victoria Park Infant School

Week beginning 13th July 2020

To develop our movement topic  we will look at a range of toys to find out how they work. In the area of literacy set up a simple toy shop using some of your toys, a till or a box for money, a note pad and a pencil.

In the nursery we set up our toy shop using sets of toys that work in different ways including cars, dolls, soft toys, wind up toys and light up toys.

Use your note pad and pencil to write a shopping list for when you go shopping in your toy shop.

Try to write out labels for your toys e.g. doll £1

You could pretend to be the shop keeper or perhaps you could pretend to be the customer.

Take a close look at your favourite toy and have a go and trying to draw a picture of it.

Remember to write your name in the top left hand corner of your paper and have a go at trying to write about your favourite toy.

Praise all your child's attempts to write.  Scribe underneath the marks they make so that they see the correct letter formation.
