5 English of the day 

At the end of the story some of the island has been built upon. It looks like they are making houses or hotels on the island probably to use for holidays on this beautiful island.

Imagine that you are the grandad. Imagine how he is feeling to see the special place that he knows and loves being ruined. What has been knocked down? What wildlife will be affected? What will happen to the plants and trees and the seaside? Why is it sad to grandad? Why will he want it to stay the same? 
 

Can you write a letter to the owner of the land telling him not to let the builder ruin any more of the island? 
 

You will probably need to ask questions and maybe you can use an exclamation mark to show that you are angry and cross with the builders. 
Can you use your best handwriting? 
Remember to start your sentences off with capital letters. I can’t wait to look at your letters.
