Week beginning 29th June 2020

Understanding the World!

Let's do some early Geography!

Can you use the world map above or maybe a bigger one that you have at home to put the labels with the correct continents? Before you do share this PowerPoint to find out what a continent is and to find out a little bit about each of them!

Now have a go at the labelling! I wonder if you can do it without checking the map?!

Where am I on the Map?

This lovely booklet of activities will help your child to place themselves in the world heart

Papier Mache World Globe

Now, parents, this activity is a bit messy! But it is so much fun. Siblings can get involved too! The thing i love about this is that the children get to make the papier mache globe shape, paint the blue sea upon it and then the tricky bit is always painting the continents on. On this one though the continents are pre drawn for the children to cut out and stick on in the right place and add labels!

The glue is made with mixed flour and water.

Time for a sing song sausages!
