Hello R2 Families
The snow and the ice have brought so much excitement, interest, awe and wonder this week! Although it has been proper chilly! The children discovered objects that had been trapped in the ice, planted 'ice seeds' and grew ice trees, made snow angels and discovered that frozen panes of ice could be peered through, like windows!
We have been learning about Chinese New Year and its traditions and customs. We have made some vibrant Chinese crafts and it was lovely to come together with Nursery and R1 in the hall to sport our fantastic dragon masks and to follow the rhythm of the drum in our lion dance...
Next week promises to be just as fun. We'll share this lovely book as we continue to learn about 'Our Wonderful World.' Why not take a peek at home too...
We'll learn the 'zz' and 'qu' phonemes in Floppy's Phonics, look at representations of 6, 7 and 8 in maths as well as fantastic gymnastics, dance and so much more!!!!!
Have a super weekend!
