Happy Friday everybody. That is yet another week of home learning that has flown by! I am looking forward to seeing you on the Zoom catch up later today.
I hope you enjoyed today’s learning.
Let’s start with our mindfulness activity.
Topic/ Literacy
Listen to the story Lost and Found one last time. After listening to the story I would like you to write a book review. Listen carefully to the story so you can answer all the questions. Remember to use your letter formation mat, sound mat and remember to use a finger space in between each word. If you find this a little tricky, ask your grown-up to help you write the words or you can tell your grown-ups the answers you would put in each box.
Look at the attached sheet of the book review. You can either print the sheet, complete the activity verbally or choose to write thoughts on a piece of paper. Whichever works best for you and your child. There is also attached a colouring sheet to go with the story.
Phonics
Today we are looking at the ‘ear’ trigraph (three letters that make one sound) you will see the action below
Can your child blend the sounds together to read the ‘ear’ words on the poster below? Practise writing the ‘ear’ sound
Maths
Look at the maths challenge sheet attached. This does not need to be printed out, it can be completed verbally. After the challenge I would like you to watch the video lesson.
Today we are going to explore time through the days of the week, months of the year and the seasons.
Watch the video
Physical
Follow the link below and join in with the teddy bear challenges. You will need to get a few of your teddy bears or soft toys for this activity. Good luck!
Today’s story is read to you by Miss Edwards. It is called Tiger in the Snow.
Thank you for an amazing week of home learning. You are all super stars! (grown-ups too) And you are continuing to shine.
Have a fantastic weekend. I look forward to seeing you all next week.
Take care and keep smiling.
