Introduction 12th February

English

This week I am going to finish reading 'The Ferry Birds'. I wonder if you can remember whats happened so far? What kind of birds are in the story? How does Jago travel to his Grandmas house? How did Jago travel to the Far North? Watch the video to find out what happens at the end of the story.

After you can watch the loom video to find out what your activity is.

second part Ferry Birds

For the next part of our English lesson you are going to be learning about adjectives. These are words which are used to describe things. Watch the bbc bitesize clip and complete the first two activities. You do not have to write anything down, you can just talk about your ideas with a grown up. Then watch the loom video to find out what the second english activity is today.

Maths

Our maths lesson today is all about 3d shape patterns. Can you remember the names of the 3d shapes that we looked at last week? Watch the loom video and see if you can answer some of the questions on the powerpoint. After you have watched this, complete the worksheets below.

Now try these.

Extension

If you would like an extra challenge, why not try some of the activities on these activity cards.

Friday Challenge

As today is the start of Chinese New Year, I thought that you might like to find out a little bit more about how it is celebrated. You can watch the video and then have a go at making a paper lantern or a dragon puppet. I hope you have fun.

Finally, I can't believe we have come to the end of this half term.  I hope that you and your families have a very well deserved rest over the half term break. Thank you for all your hard work, you and your grown ups should be very proud of yourselves.

Well done everyone!!
