Communication and Language – Reading
Listen to and enjoy the story Rosie's Walk by Pat Hutchins
Rosie’s Walk is a story we use to encourage the children to use a range of positional language and to retell the story in their own words.
Encourage the children to use positional language (prepositional vocabulary) as used in the story across, under, in through, around
Talk to the children about the illustrations with all the bright colours and repeating patterns. The pictures are funny and tell a story of their own.
Literacy writing
Start by writing your name and when you have drawn your story map write labels for it.
Please write for your child after their attempt so that he / she sees the correct letter formation.
