Week 4
Hello Reception 2 Families!
We have been up to all sorts of interesting and fun things this week. In maths, we have learnt about doubling numbers and about odd and even numbers. These mathematical concepts are very abstract, so we approach them in fun and practical ways.

We have shared these 2 lovely stories to help us to learn about the fruit and vegetables that grow on plants...
In writing we went on to find out about what instructions are. We watched a Youtube video of a little girl making a yummy fruit salad and this informed our own instruction writing.
But the most enjoyable part of our learning had to be making our own delicious fruit salad!
Next week we are going to learn about the Spring season and will be visiting Victoria Park to be Spring Detectives and look for signs of spring. Thank you to those of you that have volunteered to come along. 
We'll head off from school at 1.15 and will be back within the hour. There is talk of an Easter egg hunt later in the week too!
