Parents Evening 13th and 14th November 2024

Week 8 Week Beginning 18th October

Hello Reception 2 children and grown ups!

Our last week has been lovely. We have been finding out about Harvest Time, what a Harvest Festival is, where food comes from, how and where it is grown and the important job that farmers do to bring us the lovely food that we have to eat. We made some collaged scarecrow hats and we have learnt and performed a little Harvest Time song for you.

Now, before you press play please take into account!!!! the children are (end of term) tired, the sun was shining beautifully bright (and was in their eyes a bit), they are wearing scratchy hats covered in hay (scarecrow effects) and they really want this to be over and get stuck into their Golden Time (choccie milk, cake, dancing and cartoons!) which followed the performance. We may not have won Britain's Got Talent but I think they rocked it, considering all of the above

Our next topic is 'Festivals of Light'. When we return to school in Autumn 2, week 1 we will learn about 'Bonfire Night' and the Hindu Festival of 'Diwali'.

Have a good break everyone and Miss Hodgson and I look forward to seeing you all back on 1st November feeling well rested and ready for an exciting new term at school!

Love
