Your child should have come home with a maths sheet in their folder. They should practise this with you, and if possible explain to you how they are going to work the answers out.

It would be really beneficial if you could download the White Rose app to any devices your child has access to. They have chunked activities into one-minute sessions that help to embed maths knowledge taught in school.

We had a big spelling bee this week, where we really went for it! If possible could your child practise any words highlighted from the list stuck in their books. They can then practise the remaining words in the list provided- this is to be done over the next three weeks. We will then repeat our spelling bee on the first week back and see how many more we get right. Spelling books are to be handed in this week, on Wednesday, so that I can mark any sentences that your child has written.

If your child is writing sentences please support with things that we discussed at Parent's Evening. Everyone should have received a sheet which shows what will be expected of the children in the various levels of assessment- it would also be helpful to look at this to see how you could further support your child.
