School Trip

Details for Wednesday’s trip

Many thanks to all the parents who offered help for the school trip. We had many offers of help but unfortunately couldn’t take you all. The coach is only 72 seater and the venue has a ratio for adults to children on the trip.
Please arrive at school 5 minutes earlier than usual if you can so we can toilet the children before registration. The coach will be leaving promptly at 9.15 to give us ample time to get all the children kitted out into snow gear and helmets before our allotted slot.

Please remember to layer up your child’s clothing and please wear double socks. It might be worth putting an extra pair of socks and gloves if you have them into your child’s lunch bag. Waterproof gloves are the warmest gloves to wear in the snow but any will be fine.
Please can all parents send their child’s lunch in a named carrier bag with only disposable items?
The children will be enjoying a day of fun, snow film, lunch picnic and art activities before travelling back to school at 2.30 pm.
In the interests of safety please remove all jewellery and any newly pierced ears should be taped. If possible and your child has long hair please can you put in a low bobble so the hat will fit on safely? Similarly a hat without a bobble can be worn under the helmet but if it has a bobble it cannot be worn safely.
The children are very excited and we are exploring polar regions and polar animals as our new topic this half term.

We can’t wait to explore the snow and see how children who live in polar regions have fun and play.

Thank you for your support.
