Welcome back to Victoria Park Infant School

Week 4

Hello everyone!

Reception 1 have made the most of the sun we have had this week and have been busy in the outdoor area. The beans we planted a while ago have now been planted outside. The children are very proud of them. They have also had lots of fun playing outside.

In phonics we have focussed on the short "oo" as in cook and the long "oo" as in spoon.

In maths we have been exploring doubles, sharing, and grouping numbers and objects.

The children have amazed Miss Edwards and I this week with their sentence writing. We have been learning how to write super sentences.

Sam and Steve our United coaches were very impressed with R1's listening and ball skills this week.

The reception children are having first hand experience seeing the development of the life cycle of a frog. The are amazed by watching the changes with our tadpoles.

Arlo is our medal winner this week. Well done Arlo for trying so hard with your activities.

On Friday we got the last marble (number 10) in our class marble jar reward. The children chose to play on the big climbing frame and watch a cartoon with chocolate biscuits.  Well done children!

I hope you all enjoy the sunshine this weekend.

Take care

Mrs Spooner x
