Welcome back to Victoria Park Infant School

Week beginning 20th April 2020

In geography we are looking at maps and co-ordinates. You will find below some questions that you need to answer using the map. Some of the writing is quite small so you will have to look really carefully!

Our R.E topic for this half term is Sikhism.

We are going to find out about the special book for Sikhs. It is called the Guru Granth Sahib.

The powerpoint (at the bottom of the page) will tell you lots of information about it and there is a short video clip to watch at the end. Perhaps you could watch it with an adult and talk about it together.

Can you remember 3 things about the Guru Granth Sahib?

Activity

For Sikhs, the Guru Granth Sahib is a very precious book.

Think about something which is special to you. It could be anything, a gift from someone special, a souvenir from a special place, an object which reminds you of a special someone or special pace.

Draw a picture of it. Describe it and write about what makes it special.

Remember:

  • Use adjectives in your writing.
  • Check your capital letters and full stops.
  • Use words like because and so to make your sentences longer.
