Hello Reception 1 families,

What an amazing first week in school! You should be very proud of yourselves and your fantastic children. They are settling in well and getting used to the daily routine. The children are having fun exploring our classroom and the outdoor area, making new friends and being kind to each other. We have spent this week getting to know each other and have been lucky to have some sunny weather! Miss Edwards and I have been blown away this week! Your children are super stars!!

Mrs Lavelle is our dinner lady who has been getting to know the children at lunchtime. The children have adapted well to lunch time and we have even had our first whole school celebration assembly in the playground today with the rest of the school. Our medal winner this week is Lucy. She has made a great start to school, having a go at all the activities and being kind to new friends.

Just a few reminders for next week:

Your child needs to have a named water bottle containing fresh water daily,

Please can all uniform be named,

Bags containing spare clothes to stay in school on your child’s peg. This is to ease the load the children are carrying as they are doing a super job with their book bags, water bottles and lunch bags.

Reception 1 will start their PE sessions next week. It will be on Wednesday morning and Thursday afternoon. On these days, your child needs to come to school wearing their yellow t-shirt and school jumper/cardigan and joggers, leggings or shorts with pumps or trainers.
