Welcome back to Victoria Park Infant School

Week 6

Hello everybody!

Well, the last week of our first summer term has been just as busy as all the other weeks.

The children have worked so hard throughout this half term. They have continued to shine like the stars they are.

We have enjoyed the story of Little Red Riding Hood this week. The children have talked about the main parts of the story and we have talked about how a story needs a beginning, middle and an end. They have also talked about the different characters in the story. Finally, the children produced wanted posters for the wolf.

In maths, we have worked a little more on number bonds. Some children have been working within 10 and some are working within 20. The children's number formation is coming on a treat.

In gym this week, the children have worked with Mrs Murphy to create a sequence. They are amazing at listening and following what she asks them to do. The children are confident to share their own ideas when they are deciding which balances to use. I hope you enjoy watching the videos of the sequences.

We would like you to complete a gingerbread man diary with your children over the holidays. They each have one in their book bag with a note to explain what to do.

Thank you grown ups for your continued support throughout this busy half term. Your children are making great progress and I hope you are as proud of them as Miss Edwards and I are. We would like to wish you all a very happy holiday and hope that you get to enjoy some well deserved rest and family time. Fingers crossed that the sun shines for us.

Enjoy the pictures below and I look forward to seeing you all after the holidays!

Take care and keep smiling
