Week beginning 28th June

Hello everyone and well done again for all your hard work this week!

The children are really enjoying their PE lessons, in dance we are creating sequences of movement from a 'circus' theme, I wonder if the children can remember their actions to show you at home.

We have enjoyed reading Superworm by Julia Donaldson this week. We are learning about verbs and adjectives and have had great fun writing our own sentences. We have also used an app on the Ipads called Chatterpix to animate a character from Superworm.

Superworm! Read aloud children's book

We are consolidating our learning about the 4 countries that make up the United Kingdom. We have learnt all about the landmarks, flowers and flags. We have enjoyed reading The Queen's Hat by Steve Antony and found it very funny!

Also, the children now have an opportunity to play a game of football at playtimes, this is proving popular especially as some children are enjoying the European Championships at the moment! laugh

Well done everyone for making a fantastic effort with your spellings, the next list is in your reading record book.

The children are really enjoying using the new playground equipment- all coordinated, with a different colour for each class. It is helping them to think about sharing and taking turns. It is also really developing their imaginative play, as well as new skills.

Next week we have a sponsored danceathon and sponsored mile on Tuesday so the children can come in their own clothes. We are really excited for the FUNDRAISING FRENZY! Please see the Facebook PFTA page for details and to keep updated.

Have a lovely weekend and we will see you on Monday!

Love Mrs O'Connell and Mrs Al Noah Xx
