Week 2
Hello everybody.
Reception 1 have had a great week. The children listened to Man Fish, a factual story about Jacques Cousteau, a man from 100 years ago whose dream was to be able to breathe and explore the oceans. Following that they listened to The Rainbow Fish and Hooray For Fish which inspired some paint and collage artwork.
In maths we focussed on problem solving and number formation and in phonics we are recapping the digraphs already learnt. Please encourage your child to revisit the sound tiles sent home in previous weeks.
** BEAN UPDATE - the children are very proud of their bean growth **
Miss Edwards and I have been impressed by the list of describing (adjectives) the children have written about the fish from Hooray Fish. It was great to see independence.
