Week 2

Hello Reception 2 Families

It was so lovely to meet so many of you at Parent's Evening this week. I really hope that you all went away feeling proud of your little folk because you absolutely should be!

It has been a busy week! We have celebrated Diwali together and have learnt so much about this special religious festival from children in R2 that are celebrating this weekend with their families.

In Drawing Club we shared the traditional Indian tale Rama and Sita. This is a special story that is shared at Diwali and we all loved it! I especially loved the traps for the story's baddy that the children designed and described!

In maths we have been looking at different representations of the numbers 1 2 and 3.

In the next couple of weeks, before the festive season explodes, we will learn about and explore our 5 senses, as part of our Getting to Know Me and Getting to Know You topic.

Don't forget!

It is national Anti-Bullying Week this coming week, so don't forget to wear your odd socks to school on Monday to celebrate individuality and diversity. heart

On Friday it is Children in Need day, so please support this brilliant cause by your child wearing something spotty to school (on Friday) and bringing a donation.

Have you completed the on-line form for your child to have the flu-vaccine? These will take place on Wednesday and the children will have eye tests on Thursday with the school nurse team.

I hope you enjoy looking at some photos of this week. Enjoy your weekends!
