Week 7

Hello Reception 2 Families

I hope that you are all having an awesome half term break, whatever you are up to.

It was a brilliant final week at school. The children were just wonderful in their Harvest Assembly performances and you must have been so incredibly proud of them, myself and Miss Hodgson certainly were! We had a lovely time finding out about what Harvest Time is all about and doing some very impressive observational drawings of vegetable and fruits. We  shared a lovely autumn story called 'Don't Hodge the Hedge' where we talked about Hedgehogs and other animals that hibernate. We also explored pattern in maths and had a go at continuing, copying and creating repeated patterns. We ended the week with a Golden Celebration because we finally filled up our class pebble jar! We enjoyed a film and popcorn!

Next half term we have so many wonderful things in store. I hope that those of you that took part in the celebrations had a really lovely time. We'll see what spooky fun the children will be getting up to and we'll find out why we celebrate Bonfire Night.

Please enjoy the photos below and have a wonderful rest of Half-Term break.
