We have a different version of the Three Little Pigs today.

Now I will tell you about today’s activity.

So remember your activity is to make a new story by either changing the wolf to a different animal or changing the Three Little Pigs into different animals. You can write a caption for your pictures to retell the story (like we do in school) or use your own paper to write the story in one go. This will be the last of our work on the Three Little Pigs, so I hope you enjoy it!

Let’s start our lesson with our warm-up to recognise our sounds and tricky words. If you already know all your sounds and tricky words, you can skip this bit.

Now we have done a lot of work on our numbers to 50, I am going to give you some addition word problems to find the answers today. Don’t forget there are many ways you can find the answers. Use the way you like best.

• Use objects around the house to count on (pasta shapes, crayons, Lego, bundles or towers of something in groups of 10)
• Drawing the tens and ones or ten frames to represent a number.
• ‘Make 10’ strategy (by partitioning the number using part whole model)
• Use your head and hands to count on.
