Today we are going to find out about penguins. I would like you to watch the video which will tell you a number of facts about penguins.
Now you have watched the video, can you follow the instructions below which show you how to draw a penguin, step by step.
Literacy
The writing activity for today is to write what you would do if you were a penguin. There is a box on the sheet for you to draw a picture. You can complete this activity on your own paper. Remember to use the letter mat to help you form your letters correctly, and remember to put a finger space in between your words.
Phonics
Today I would like us to practise blending. Everybody was working really hard with their blending before lockdown. Watch the video of me blending and it would be great if you could join in with me. Grown-ups, this might help you by seeing how we practise blending in class with the children.
Maths
We are going to continue working on addition today.
First, I would like you to have a go at the Teddy bear’s Bedtime challenge below, then watch the addition penguins video.
Physical
After all your hard work today, I thought you might enjoy doing the Penguin dance. Watch the YouTube video below.High five to all our home learners today! You have been ace!
Lets slow things down now by listening to a story called Hiku by Nicole Snitselaar read to you by Mrs Spooner.
