Homework Activities

Hello Year 2! There are now quite a few homework ideas to help Year 2 this year. You will have noticed that we have been sending home our spelling books weekly and testing the children weekly in school. The children are learning all the key word spellings for Year 1 and 2 and beyond. This gives the children such a good base for independent writing and develops their confidence too. These key words will be supplemented by some spelling games and patterns directed to you on Education City and other websites. In maths most of the work we cover will be centred around white rose maths so homework in maths could be photocopied sheets, games from Education City or some counting or mental recall work. Topic homework is always exciting and we ask the children to as creative as they like with the current topic and if they would like to produce anything that they would like to show to either me or the class please email me a photo and I can print this out and pop it in their topic books. The poppies made at home for Remembrance Day were amazing!
