We used the story of 'Oliver's Vegetables' as a stimulus for imaginative play and for developing language in role play.
The children played imaginatively with Oliver the puppet and with the vegetables grown in Grandpa's garden.
Harvest story - Oliver's vegetables
We continued working in small groups to make jam sandwiches. We talked about harvest time - harvesting of wheat for making bread and fruit for making jam
The children enjoyed fancy dress last Tuesday. We are currently unable to share dressing up clothes so it was a good opportunity to play imaginatively and act out roles
