Hello R2 Families!
Well, it has been scorcher! The children have been very resilient considering. It has been a lovely first week back at school and we've especially enjoyed our new book...

The book led us to lots of discussion about the animals that live in the different oceans around the world. We went on to create some beautiful silhouette art. We used lots of lovely shades of blue paint and different printing/stamping/painting tools that helped to create some lovely effects. The children took lots of time and care and were proud of their unique art work.
It was messy, creative carnage and we loved it!
More under the sea learning and adventure next week! We'll be sharing this lovely book and be finding out about Jacques Cousteau who lived a long time ago and was the first person to discover and make deep sea diving to explore the oceans a possibility.
I hope you all have a lovely week folks and look forward to seeing on Monday to start what is forecast a rainy week but that's ok because the sun is always shining in R2!
