Welcome back to Victoria Park Infant School

Week 3

Hello Reception 2 Families laugh

It's hard to believe that the children have only completed 2 full weeks at school. They are getting to grips with routines and friendships are blooming. heart

As part of our topic, we have been finishing our self-portraits. They are just wonderful!

The children have been developing the strength in their hands whilst enjoying the playdough.

The children just love exploring, experimenting, creating and sharing ideas with their peers.

Next week we will be sorting and matching objects in maths. We will learn the 'p' and 'i' phonemes in Floppy's Phonics and we will be finding out about one another's homes and families. You may have seen a note in your child's book bags asking you to chat with them about their house number and the colour of their front door. Please take a little time out to do this, it will help them to share in our class chat.

Please try your best to participate in this lovely event. Our's really is the loveliest PFTA in the world. heart

Thanks for reading at home with your child and for carrying out the Floppy's Phonics practise sheets. Your support at home makes a big difference. Please ensure that when you have read with your child that you record this in your child's yellow reading record. This is my indication that they have read their reading book and need it to be exchanged for a new one. Thanks.

Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the autumn sunshine.
