English

We are going to make a class non-fiction book!

Choose an animal from the Arctic or Antarctica. Click on your chosen animal below and read information about them.  I would like you to create a piece of non-fiction writing about your chosen animal.

  • Remember to write facts and keep your sentences clear.
  • You might write about what your animal eats in one section and then how they survive in another section.
  • You could print out a picture of your animal, just like you would see in a non-fiction book, rather than an illustration.

Don't worry about the contents page, index and glossary for now!

Antarctica- Polar Bear, Emperor Penguin, Elephant Seal, Killer Whale, Blue Whale, Colossal Squid Arctic- Narwhal, Arctic Fox, Arctic Hare, Walrus, Snowy Owl

Maths

Today we are going to look at how we can use multiplication and division. In class I talk about these operations being 'friends' because they help each other out, just like subtraction and addition help each other (don't mix this up with commutativity where we can swap x and + around).  Watch the video below to find out more.

Now visit the website below if you want a further challenge!
