We will start our Movement topic by listening to a nursery favourite story.
Focus on the sounds in the story associated with each of the vehicles.
Focus on the initial letter sounds of the vehicles in the story
j - jeep c - car v - van t - taxi l - limousine
Focus on the colours of all the different vehicles. Each one is a different colour. Each one makes a different sound. Each vehicle moves off in a different way.
Which one is your favourite vehicle. I like the pink limousine!
Can you draw a picture of your favourite part of the story.
You could draw your favourite vehicles, a road layout or the garage at the end of the story.
Name your work at top left hand side of your paper. Have a go at labelling your picture.
Praise all your child’s attempts to write. Scribe underneath the marks they make so that they can see the correct letter formation.
