Hello everyone!  How are you all holding up? 

I don’t think I have spoken to a single person who isn’t finding things difficult for one reason or another – grateful to healthy and well but still struggling at times.  So, I started thinking about some of the great things, the happiest times in school that I am really missing and the first thing that came to mind was our Friday assemblies.  Although they have changed so much in the last twelve months, the sentiment behind them stays the same:

 Fridays are a time to celebrate - hard work, kind gestures and of course, birthdays! 

To the children,

I know that some of you have had your birthday since we broke up in December and we have not had chance to celebrate it with you.  Now I might forget to water my plants or forget to put the bins out on the right day but I would NEVER, EVER forget your birthday.  So watch out this Friday for a special birthday message for you. 

Also, some of you will have birthdays coming up and we all know how important birthdays are so help each other to celebrate.  The world is tricky place at the moment and we cannot meet up to celebrate birthdays but that does not make them any less important.  If your friend has had or is having a birthday, send them a message or ring them up to say those special words:  Happy Birthday and let them know that you are thinking about them.
